FAQ > After submitting the form, I get an error message stating “There was an error trying to send your message.” What is wrong?

The content on that link doesn’t really address this message.

“Failed to send your message. Please try later or contact the administrator by another method.” It’s surrounded by a box that is somewhere between your yellow and orange.

Customers are getting this message and I verified by testing the form. I’m not sure why my content might be considered spam.

All of the fields contain valid content.

The descriptions for the yellow or orange boxes really don’t apply. Can you provide any further clues as to why we would be getting this message?

I solved this by restoring a database backup. For some reason, the DB had some bad config that the admin was not picking up.

@pgilpat, Did you have to restore the entire database or only one table? I don’t see a table for Contact Form 7.

we did the full database from the prior day.
