• Hi All,

    Could you please help me with troubleshooting the following issue: plugin is not able to send emails after admin email change.
    Actions sequence is like this:
    1. Installed plugin and add mail server settings
    2. Sent test email successfully
    3. Changed admin’s email through wordpress settings menu and verify it
    4. registered new user -> no email notifications
    5. checked plugin log -> emails are not sent with error message “Message was not accepted — it contains invalid headers. More specially, ‘From:’ header must match user you are sending mail from.” As I checked previous admin email address were reflected in “From” filed. How to make plugin to see newly updated admin’s email?

    p.s. maybe you know how to disable email verifications for new accounts at wordpress?
    p.p.s How can I make translations changes for Russian language? Sorry to say but current translation is causes a lot of confusion

    @yehudah Thank you. Awesome instruction.
    I’ve ticked “Disable email validation” option in plugin’s settings. However it is not working: email validation is required for every new users’ registration. Can you please suggest ways to fix that

    Hi,

    The email validation in post SMTP is not related to new users validation, you can test it yourself.

    Thank you for the translation suggestion but the translation process is a bit of a mess because it’s managed inside the WordPress translation system and I’m a bit short of time to manage it myself.

    @yehudah Can you please suggest if there is a way to disable new users validation?
    P.S. I have experience of translating apps to Russian language. Being new to wordpress I’m not aware of what is WordPress translation system. I bet there are should be a manual of how to make text translation change requests. If you have a link to the manual with you could you please share?

    @maomarketplace can you please help me with changing the email address on the plugin…please it is super urgent.

    @sisanda I’ve followed instructions listed here https://postmansmtp.com/invalid-to-or-reply-to-e-mail-address/
    That helped me.
    The only thing I would like to solve is how to disable new users email validation. But that is not directly related with this plugin

    Thanks for the response, whenever I go to ‘Post SMTP’ settings it just says “Postman is configured” and there’s no option me to reconfigure and use a different email on the plugin.??

    @sisanda have you tried to change admin’s email (we’re talking about having different admin’s email… right?) through WordPress settings (Admin menu aka Left pannel -> Settings -> General -> Administration Email Address). Sorry maybe a bit to obvious advice

    I tried to change the administration email address days ago and still I haven’t received an email to confirmation the email address change. The email address I’m changing to is an email I use everyday so I don’t think I would have missed the confirmation email. Thank you so much for the response, if this issue is not fixed then I will just use a different plugin.

    @sisanda I’m not a plugin author/support. Just a WP newby. Therefore my advises are supoosed to be followed with a grain of salt.
    But if I were you I would start from checking if WP basically can send emails (maybe you didn’t get confirmation email as it was failed to send) then check if it was blocked somethere on a go.
    There are some plugins which allos to test email config of your WP site

    thanks, will do that
