Failed To Save Story Error

Check your security plugins, I had issues with wordfence and had to put a ticket in with them.

Hello @shylaminocha thanks for getting in touch and sorry to hear you’re having troubles saving your Stories. This could be the result of a plugin conflict so to check this first you can follow our troubleshooting steps here.

These steps should highlight if there is a conflict between your theme or a plugin. Let me know how this goes and if you don’t find a cause we can continue to troubleshoot together.

@shylaminocha Just checking in to see if you are still having issues saving your Stories?

Hi Adam, I am still facing the same issue. For some reason, it is only affecting one author user, and not the admin account. So the admin account is able to make, save and publish Web Stories as usual. However a specific author user account can not and is getting the error message : Failed to save the story – could not update post in the database, internal server error’, at every attempt to save a story.

@shylaminocha Thanks for the added information. Do you currently use any user role permissions plugins on your site? I’d be happy to check your setup also if you could share your Site Health Information using our private form.
