Failed to Install Theme And Plugins in WordPress

  • Howdy,
    I registered a new Domain (www.donzoy.com) and took a host plan for 12 months from https://www.godaddy.com. I installed wordpress and start customizing it and it was working fine. The other day (I am not sure but i think i played with some directory files and deleted some of them). Now when i want to install plugins or themes in wordpress it fails and even sometime it return with error message while searching for plugins/themes. I can delete plugins, themes, customize page save it but i can’t install themes and plugins any more. I delete the wordpress and again installed it and got the same issue. I tried uploading Manually but nothing gets update in wordpress dashboard. Can anyone help me in this issue with detail explanation. Thanks

    If its a brand new WordPress installation, then there should not be issue with the files and folders. You should check with the permissions of the folders under wp-content with the help of your hosting provider.

    In wp-config.php file give the following line just after
    /** Sets up WordPress vars and included files. */
    require_once(ABSPATH . ‘wp-settings.php’);

    define(‘FS_METHOD’, ‘direct’);
