Since the original thread is closed for new comments, a new reply here:

@specialk it seems to be showing up on admin pages that renders wp_editor(). I’m observing this behaviour on:

If it helps, there are other plugin(s) with a similar issue:

    • Organization Chart >> support thread (screenshot helpful)
    • PowerFolio >> support thread (code hints might be helpful, related to shortcode?)

Here’s how you can replicate the issue:

    1. Create a fresh InstaWP site (PHP 8.2)
    2. Install and activate ASE
    3. Install and activate Simple Download Counter
    4. Open ASE settings (Settings >> Enhancements)

    Hope that helps.

    Thanks @qriouslad.

I am not sure why the review post was closed to further comments, it was not my doing. But all the better, as the support forums here are a better place to get help.

That said, a question before going further.

    1. Does the issue happen on default WordPress (not InstaWP)

    Thanks again for reporting this.

Yes, I’m seeing it on my production site as well.

Thank you. I am able to repeat the issue and will be working to resolve for the next plugin update. Your reporting and information are very useful, thanks again @qriouslad.

My pleasure @specialk . Hope you manage to devise a fix. No hurry. At the moment, I’m hiding the error via CSS, so they don’t show up for users. Have a great weekend.

@qriouslad I *think* this issue is resolved in the next version of SDC (v1.9). There was another, broader issue that was resolved ahead of this one, and so now testing in latest version of ASE looks like all is well. SDC v1.9 should be available later today or tomorrow. Please take a look and let me know either way, thank you.

@specialk thanks for the update and potential fix. Will update to v1.9 when it’s out and test.
