• I tried to migrate a blog with 3000+ posts and 4800 images. The plugin managed to import the posts but failed to import all the images. It got to 3900/4800 images.
I was also not convinced I only had 4800 images, I think I have many more images which the plugin did not identify.

    Hi @muraldo,

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review, and sorry to hear all of the images did not import. It is worth noting that the images will still work in the blog posts, even if they are not imported into WordPress. So hopefully it won’t impact the site too much.

This is usually caused by the web host limiting CPU/memory usage. You might want to check if such limits exist and then try a fresh import again after.

There were some photos that could not be viewed in the blog so it appears the links to blogger are not maintained.
I will check to see if their are Bluehost CPU/memory limitations.

    Hi @muraldo,

That’s strange, would you be able to send a link to one of those posts? I might be able to check what has happened and supply a fix.

    Tanks for your help…

I’ll have to re import as I deleted the blog and tried to import using the standard import option using xml file.

I did try to re import using your plugin but it seemed to think the tansk was complete. Although there are no posts in my blog is there something else I have to delete to re enable the extended import. Perhaps a hidden file somewhere?

    Hi @muraldo,

You may need to check that the posts have been deleted from the “Trash” section https://easywpguide.com/wordpress-manual/adding-your-site-content/block-editor/deleting-content. After doing so, you should then delete the plugin and re-instsall it. This should allow you to try the import process again.

    Hi @pipdig

I just wanted to thank you for your help and also let you know that the import was successful. The fix was as you suggested…

    1. Delete all posts and empty trash
    2. Re-install the Blogger Importer Extended plugin

FYI I created an article summarising my work
    https://medium.com/@murray.d.stewart/moving-from-blogger-to-wordpress-lessons-learned-2fa48c5b6a2d

One thing that I don’t understand… The importer reports it has imported 4500 photos but in reality it imported 8000. Any ideas?

    Hi @muraldo,

Great! I’m glad to hear the import was completed on the new attempt. Would you consider updating your review to higher than 1 star based on your latest experience?

Regarding the images, this will most likely just be a graphical error rather than the actual data itself. The progress bar updates via ajax, which can sometimes hang and show incorrectly under certain circumstances, such as if the connection is lost temporarily.
