“An unexprected error has occurred. As this error may be temporary, please try and refresh the Critical CSS.” Did that! Jetpack Boost could not verify this page: <homepage>. Visited the page, Verified that the content displayed is a part of my WP site and not an external page managed by a different system. Tried several times. I cannot get it to work. Also, it takes too long and it ties me up to not be able to leave the page. Emptied caches. Made no changes to my HTML or CSS. Please advise.

It does not work with the “Maintenance Mode” plugin turned on. I got it to work. Thanks anyway. You might want to consider adding it to a scheduled time plan to perform the task.

    Hi @sloughmiller,

I see that you were experiencing an issue with generating Critical CSS with Jetpack Boost but managed to resolve it after discovering a conflict with the “Maintenance Mode” plugin. That’s great to hear!

For future reference, if any similar issues occur, it can be helpful to check for plugin conflicts by temporarily deactivating other plugins. Additionally, ensuring that your themes and plugins are up to date is always a good practice.

Regarding your suggestion about adding a scheduling feature for generating Critical CSS, that’s an interesting idea. Jetpack is always looking to improve, and user feedback is a valuable part of that process, so thank you for sharing.

    Best!
