Failed to fetch feed

    I’m getting the following error in the debug log when I try to fetch an RSS feed from Google News:

    [27-10-2015 17:50:52] [Error] WPRSS > wprss_get_feed_items:
Failed to fetch feed "https://www.google.com/alerts/feeds/11260952960876601106/5464282486287099305". This XML document is invalid, likely due to invalid characters. XML error: Not well-formed (invalid token) at line 1, column 1

    Can you confirm whether other feed urls are working fine ? Also, have you tried after re-installing the plugin ?

    I have this same error on several feeds that validate fine. Any suggestions?

    I solved installing / configuring curl on my server

    Thanks, that was the last part of the puzzle. I also had to increase the max memory allowed for php, which was at the ubuntu defaults. Once I’d done both of these steps it all started working.
