Hi, I’ve been using this plugin for more than a year and all of a sudden I can not import shortcodes from my parent site.

Error message is “Failed to decode JSON in imported data. Error code: 4”

We have recently migrated from A2 hosting to Azure.

I’ve already tried updating plugins on both the export and importing instances of wordpress without sucess. Please advise what’s up

Great plugin – well worth the cup of coffee – but need toget this working again.

    Best regards,
    Wuvu2

    Hi,

In the JSON which you have exported, can you please open and check at the end of the file if there is a “0” ?

If there is a 0 at the end of the file, please remove it and try import again.

    Thanks,
    Aakash

    Hi Aakash,

Yes that worked. I’ve tried exporting from a number of different wordpress instances including a brand new one with only a test shortcode and they all seem to fail – but removing the 0 restores them.

Why are all the exports from various instances – even with just a sample shortcode – adding this “0” and is there anything I can do to prevent the problem?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

I’m yet to find this issue of why 0 is appended. This is not reproducible in my local setup. I’ll update if I get any update on the issue.

    Thanks,
    Aakash

Same problem, removing the 0 solved the issue. Thanks!
