• Hello,

    I am attempting to authenticate Pardot but I keep receiving the message “failed to authenticate. please check your credentials again” I have quadruple checked my credentials and the connected app on SF and everything seems to be in order. Is there something else I am missing?

    Hey @kaelynbanks. Sorry for the trouble.

    I’m working with the team to clarify our documentation—the connected app should have these Oauth scopes:

    • Access Pardot services (pardot_api)
    • Perform requests on your behalf at any time (refresh_token, offline_access)

    Let me know if that doesn’t solve it for you.

    Thanks, @cliffseal. I thought this might have been the issue and already added the refresh scope. Unfortunately, this did not solve the problem. Any other suggestions?

    @kaelynbanks None at the moment, other than trying to use the old Pardot authentication method for now and contacting Pardot support. We’re actively looking for ways to provide better documentation and troubleshooting steps around this.
