    I just upgraded to 3.5.2

I now have 3 important plugins that have failed the upgrade and have been deactivated.
I tried activating and also reinstalling and I get a failed error.
I now don’t even see the plugins in admin at all.

When I try to reinstall, it says,

    Destination folder already exists.
    Plugin install failed.

    1. I’m very worried because each of these plugins, particularly my form plugin took a lot of customization to get it how I wanted.
    2. The plugin folder for each of these plugins does still exist on the server, but they’re empty??
    3. I have other plugins that I have not had to upgrade and still do work.

Please tell me that it’s not blown away now?

What do I need to do to get these working again?
    Thanks

  • I had this problem as well, if anyone could suggest a way to fix it, that would be awesome, (maybe delete the old folder?)

The plugin folder for each of these plugins does still exist on the server, but they’re empty??

This is due to a plugin auto-update failure (typically).

First, review with plugin dev. compatibility with this version of WP.

If OK, download the files and manually upload to remote server using your FTP tool such as FileZilla or your host provided file management tool. Try to activate.

If that fails still, try a manual update for WordPress.

I suggest backing your site up in full prior to any updates.

    Thank you for the reply!

I did just that. I manually downloaded the .ZIP file for the plugins that weren’t working.
I then uploaded the files via FTP to the server.
    Activated the plugin, and VOILA!

It remembered my settings for the plugins, including the customization I did with the contact form ??
