    Hi there,

    I’ve just updated to the new version and we seem to be having trouble processing card payments (although it could be all payments).

    After filling in the customer details and card detail we get the error, “Error processing checkout. Please try again.” with no further information.

    I’ve attached a picture of the error, network tab and log here: https://imgur.com/a/WceSpUY

    There is not really any information in the log that makes it easy to debug but from the network tag I can see a response from ?wc-ajax=checkout which the following JSON:

    {“result”:”failure”,”messages”:””,”refresh”:false,”reload”:false}

    So no failure message there either but presumably it is not even reaching PayPal.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • I am having the exact same issue.

    My client has just said this to me: “since yesterday more often – Paypal orders which show as a failed order, but in fact have gone through”

    I updated to 1.6.2 from 1.6.1 the day before yesterday, so I think there maybe something up here.

    He gets about 50 orders per day so enough to suggest this might be a trend.

    @padcreative

    We have just had a PayPal order through that has done this. Shows as failed but the PayPal payment went through successfully and the payment information was never associated with the order, nor orderstatus updated.

    On the original issue is it possible to get an update? I understand you have a lot of things on your plate at the moment but this is a production domain with multiple orders failing daily for months now (via this issue or the previous ones) and given this is the officially recommended PayPal solution from WooCommerce you would hope for a little more proactive support.

    Any help for this issue?

    Hello @torlockc @padcreative and @spetracco

    our apologies for the late response, this issue is not clear cut and it seems there might be 2 issues being addressed now in this thread.
    I believe the missing details in the PayPal order should be resolved with the upcoming release (1.6.3) that should be released later today. If you want, you can also get the beta release here: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-paypal-payments/releases/tag/1.6.3-test1

    The situation where you are not seeing logs concerning the failures being populated in our plugin logs can be caused by the situation where the failure is actually occurring in WooCommerce. Please take a look in their logs as well and see if that gives you any clues to what is happening.

    If you want us to also take a closer look, please provide us with the logs and system report.

    If you don’t feel comfortable sharing those details on a public forum, please open a ticket with our service desk. You can find the instruction for this here: https://paypal.inpsyde.com/docs/request-support/
    (please add the URL of this thread in the ticket as well)

    Again our apologies for the late response, we were checking the progress of the current bug and wanted to provide you with a possible solution to your problem(s).

    Kind regards,
    Joost
