• Hi,

We recently just launched an entirely new website to cover the old website.

When I use Yoast SEO plugin to edit the meta title and meta description of the website, it works well for all the other pages, apart from the homepage.

Every time I tried to update the homepage with new meta title, it shows a red “Updating failed” bar on the top of the page. Have no clue why it happens and how to fix it.
We are using google chrome and wp fastest cache. I have tried to clear the cache and try again, but it doesn’t work.

Really hope someone here know how to handle this error. Thanks a lot in advance

  • Woke up this morning and it’s cold here in Virginia and you want me to look at a site about the Arctic? BRRRRR!

Anyway, I looked at the site itself… looks okay.

I’m thinking maybe consult with Yoast about this problem. Probably something pretty easy like a permissions thing or maybe a pointer to the wrong page…

I imagine Yoast can help you and I’m not at all familiar with that feature (capability?) of Yoast.

    Hi,
    Thank you for your reply.
Well, it is cold in Copenhagen today as well (a normal day and usual weather in cold cloudy November ahha).

Back to the question ?? I am not sure whether it is Yoast’S problem since adding the meta information works fine to other pages….But i will try to consult Yoast to see if I can get any support.

If anybody else have any clue, feel free to suggest here haha.
