When I have the Extra Sidebar Widgets module enabled in the Jetpack plugin, I have access to a Facebook widget that I use in my WordPress sidebar.

I have it configured to display my Facebook page, and it appears to load correctly. However, when I run a Lighthouse analysis, I encounter the following error:

Browser errors were logged to the console

Errors logged to the console indicate unresolved problems. They can come from network request failures and other browser concerns.

    Line: 0
    Column: 0
    Description:
Refused to display 'https://www.facebook.com/' in a frame because it set 'X-Frame-Options' to 'deny'.

Could you please explain the cause of this error and how I can resolve it? Thank you and regards.

  • The Jetpack CRM Facebook widget displays elements from your Facebook page in an iFrame.

From what you’ve described, the Facebook widget is appearing and working correctly on your site. Is that correct?

I’m not quite sure what Lighthouse analysis you’re referring to or why it would be displaying an error, especially if the widget is functioning correctly. Since Jetpack does not have information about the analysis you’re running, I’d recommend contacting Lighthouse about that.

If something within the Facebook widget isn’t appearing or working correctly, please let us know and we’ll be happy to help.
