This is a brilliant plugin, automating so much work. Instead of manually adding code to each and every video link from social medias, it can all be setup in the prior consent area of the plugin.

BUT, I cannot get it to work with FACEBOOK.
I only get it working with Youtube and Vimeo (haven’t tried Twitter).

Any ideas how to make that work, as it would make my whole website controllable from that one place. Would be great, as there are quite a few Facebook videos to manually sort otherwise.

Also, does anyone know if there is some way, to make the placeholder temporarily replace the hidden content instead of going beneath it causing a very large gap. It would improve the design side of the plugin tremendously. However, I have no idea if it is possible at all.

PS: BTW it works out of the box with ISSUU embeds. Great!!!

I have now managed to make it work with Facebook as well…

    But the second issue remains:

“Also, does anyone know if there is some way, to make the placeholder temporarily replace the hidden content instead of going beneath it causing a very large gap. It would improve the design side of the plugin tremendously. However, I have no idea if it is possible at all.”

Or if not possible, is there maybe a workaround where the placeholder is placed before the video/media rather than after as of default. That would make more sense looks/design wise, as we design from top towards the bottom. So the empty space caused by the underlying media is after the placeholder rather than before.

    Hi there, Tubsitubs!

If you want a placeholder to be shown instead of the video until cookies are accepted you can create the placeholder and add the css class:

    “cookieconsent-optout-marketing”

    and add the class:
    “cookieconsent-optin-marketing”
to the iframe containing your facebook video.

If you want the user to accept multiple categories of cookies you can just add another class such as:

    “cookieconsent-optin-statistics” and “cookieconsent-optout-statistics”

    I hope that helps! ??

In addition to previous post, you can check how we’ve done it here:

    https://www.cookiebot.com/en/gdpr-cookies/

If you scroll down to the video, you’ll see a button to change your consent.

    Regards!
