Facebook Users email and name?

  • Is there any way to get the email and the users name from Facebook authentication? I was hoping to be able to get users to authenticate over Facebook to be able to view restricted pages and make comments on them.

    I have the Pro version so I’d imagine I’ll need to enable the Email as a login and to have it create a new WordPress user.

    The difficulty I’m running into is if I tick the option to use email as a username, I cannot authenticate via Facebook with the following error:

    No email address from your profile, please hit 'Logout' and use the full form.

    This occurs for Facebook App test users, as well as my primary Facebook user. With the option off users get added but the username is just a bunch of numbers and there’s nothing to identify the user directly.
