    Facebook and Twitter shares have stopped working all of a sudden after last update. I’m quite at a loss here, what I’ve tried so far:
    * delete wp-rocket cache
    * disable wp-rocket
    * check yoast settings
    * check robots.txt

    If you have any tips on where I might start looking for a solution, I would be eternally grateful.

    We’re sorry you’re having trouble with crawling your website by Facebook and Twitter. I imagine this can be frustrating for you. We’d like to look a closer look.

    – We checked the robots.txt and saw no block directive.
    – The given page has HTTP status 200 OK
    – Yoast SEO has outputted all required meta tags on the page.

    Checking the page link via Facebook Debugger Tool, we see the page is unable to fetch

    Since nothing is blocked by Yoast SEO, we recommend that you contact your webhost to confirm if any rules in a server are barring the URLs from scrapping by social medias.

    Thank you for your swift reply!

    I contacted the webhosting and confirmed that there are no rules barring the URLs from scraping.

    I’m really at a loss here.

    I’m afraid this issue seems totally seems to be from either the Server-side or Facebook blocking the URLs being crawled by social networks.

    I checked the robots.txt file and it looks totally Okay and no any blocking directives.

    Facebook:

    Facebook URLs cannot be crawled.

    Twitter:

    ERROR: Fetching the page failed because the fetcher cannot resolve the address.

    The above status was returned by the two social networks while trying to validate the link. Kindly, reach back to the WebHost for further assistance OR, Facebook, and Twitter support.
