• Hi all, hope you can help me as I’m quite a novice at this and have found the other stuff that’s come up hasn’t been very clear.

I have the Nextgen gallery plugin and have the sharing function enabled for my wordpress blog, but I want to set it so that the like or share buttons apply to individual photos in the gallery rather than to the gallery as a whole.

I have it set on image browse so individual photos will show in their own posts, but when sharing a picture, this only shares the gallery rather than the individual picture.

    Hope you guys can help.

    Thanks,

  • You can upload individual images using their distinct url and then append the share buttons to post.
    Hope this helps !!

I am still searching for a solution to this. I’m trying to set up sharing buttons that appear on each individual photo page, using the imagebrowser settings.

When the photo is Shared on Facebook or Twitter, I want the link to go to that exact URL where the photo is shown, and that photo used as the small thumbnail in the post.

I can add the appropriate Facebook Open Graph meta data to get the share to display the exact thumbnail image, but it still posts a link to the main gallery, not that image’s page.

I’ve tried ShareThis, AddThis, and 3 others, and all give the same result.

    Here is an example link:

You ought to post this within your own thread, Heyjk.
