I am new to this and not experienced in coding. Although I have featured images set on each page and post, when I type in my blog address onto Facebook, it pulls up no image and instead of saying my tagline, says “a modern business theme.” My site is teacheratrecess.wordpress.com and I’m using the web based version of WordPress (just saw that I can download it from this site, but I’m not sure how to install on a Mac?) I’m using the Expound Theme.
I’ve read forums about changing the code in the header and even tried to download some plugins with .scss or .php but I’m not sure what to do from there. I’m on a Macbook if that matters. Please use simple language when responding! I know this has been addressed in other posts, but I haven’t been able to follow them since I’m not sure where to even access the code. Thanks for your help!

  • Hi lauraliz25 – you need to post your question in the support forum for WordPress.COM, this forum is only for self-hosted wordpress sites, the answers will be very different for wordpress.com-hosted sites.

ALSO, you need a site hosting company to install the downloaded version of WordPress from here, unless your Macbook is hooked up the the internet full time and setup to be a server, which it doesn’t sound like it is.

Good luck, I’m sure the folks at wordpress.com will be able to help you.

Thank you so much for clarifiying! I had no idea!!
When I checked there, it turns out my photo files was simply too small. I got lazy and just pulled my profile picture off of Facebook instead of using the original picture… Incase it comes up for someone else. ??
