Facebook sync issues

    1. When I’m “tagging” products on facebook some products are populating twice. When we added SKUs about 6 months ago we did not add it as a new item we just added a SKU to the existing product. I’m not sure why it would have synced to our facebook/meta stores twice like this… Do you have any idea why? Is there a way to sort of “resync” all of the online products to facebook? I see products we no longer offer also on our facebook…see next concern.

    2. There are quite a few products that are showing up that don’t have. When I try to delete them from the Facebook catalog, it won’t let me because it needs to be done through woocommerce, but they aren’t on woocommerce anymore. Not sure if there’s a way to just do a whole resync or if the settings are incorrect for pushing the products to facebook or what…

    Sorry to hear about this.

    Can you please remove one of the products that are duplicated (both instances) and then re-save that product in your WooCommerce store (The goal is to force it to re-sync)? If it is duplicated again, please let us know.

    If it is not duplicated, you will need to do the same with the rest of the products (re-sync).

    Please navigate under Marketing > Facebook > Debug. Make sure debug is enabled. Then please go to WooCommerce > System Status > Logs (See if there are errors coming from Facebook for WooCommerce), let us know what you find.

    Hello,
    We’re not fully following what you want us to do.
    The issue is that they are only duplicated on Facebook and only listed once in the product catalog. So we can not remove one of the products that are duplicated since they’re only showing up once in our product catalog.

    To help you investigate, please share a copy of your site’s System Status report: You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.?

    I also noticed a few other discrepancies between Facebook and Woocommerce product catalogs. Is there a way to just force resync of our Woocommerce catalog completely with Facebook?

    As a first step, please update your WooCommerce database by going to WooCommerce > Status > Tools > Update Database.

    Is there a way to just force resync of our Woocommerce catalog completely with Facebook?

    In the event products are not syncing as expected, a sync can be triggered manually via the Marketing > Facebook > Product Sync tab by clicking the Sync products button.

    If this did not resolve the issue, deleting or resetting all products from the Facebook catalog and then letting things sync again is the only way to fix strange issues. This requires a code snippet, which you can read more about here.

    Thanks! I’m following the guide to Reset products from Facebook but where do I need to add the code snippet? I tried adding it to the functions.php file but it seems like nothing happened.

    You can add the custom code in your functions.php file, or you can use a plugin to add the snippets separately, for example, the code snippets plugin.

    It will help to add custom PHP code into your site without directly accessing the functions.php file. Here is an article that explains how to use the Code Snippets plugin.

    I tried this but it didn’t work.

    Is there a way to just fully restart the Facebook shop and re-link from our Woocommerce store to start over? Can you share instructions what steps need to be done?
