Facebook Shop Tab missing in New Facebook

    Hi Team

    Great plugin thanks. I have managed to upgrade to the latest plugin and after fixing a Business Manager conflict have synched ok to our facebook page.

    I have however noticed a new issue in that the Facebook Shop Tab is missing (does not display) when you switch views in Facebook from “Classic Facebook” to “New Facebook”
    The products are still there as they do show up if you click on a product tagged in a post, but the Facebook Menu Tab ‘Shop’ is not showing.

    This seems to only occur on Shop Tabs that were created by the Facebook Plugin as Business pages that we have where the ‘Shop’ was created manually are not impacted.

    Can you help to investigate?

    Thanks so much for reaching out with this question. I’ve been able to see the exact behavior you described in my local test store too! I’ve looked through all the settings available with the Facebook redesign, and have noticed that the Shop tab is not listed as an option under the Templates and Tabs settings of the page.

    Unfortunately, the creation of the shop page, and the display of it as a tab, is not something our plugin can control directly. This relies on the Facebook API to create the page, and Facebook’s own internal system to display the tab on your business page.

    That said, I’ve reached out to Facebook directly through our support tool, as it’s certainly strange it only happens for the pages created through the initial onboarding process! As soon as I hear back from them, I’ll circle around and let you know.

    Hi @onewordpresscustomer,

    I’ve heard back from the Facebook Business Manager concierge team and they have told me that there is no longer a Shop tab for the new Facebook design. Instead, it will display the Shop on the main page as one of the available blocks.

    I did ask if the connection made a difference, as you mentioned creating the page manually did still show a Shop tab, and they told me that it is no longer available.
