Facebook sharing URL not showing special characters ( diacritics, breve)

  • I have a problem related to sharing a post from my blog to Facebook.

    My URL should look like this actually (punny code):
    spranceanaluidostoievski.ro

    The character with a breve is : a. But when I share a post I want the link displayed in Facebook to contain spranceanaluidostoievski.ro or at least what I mentioned in the canonical URL and not xn--sprnceanaluidostoievski-k6b.ro.
    How can I do that?

    In the canonical URL I wrote:
    https://spranceanaluidostoievski.ro
    So an a instead of an a
    But this still not works….the new URL is not being picked up by Facebook sharer
