The social media sharing options used to work perfectly — every post would be sent to my Twitter, FB page, Tumblr and Path just fine. However for the last two months there have been issues and despite all of my best efforts, nothing I do will fix them.

By far the most annoying one is that the featured image is no longer imported into Facebook. Instead of the usual post now all I get is the URL — not even the title properly displays. This happens with every post. All of my old posts used to work fine but ever since I updated Jetpack this feature has been broken.

Anyone have this same issue or any suggestions for a fix? This issue is driving me crazy ??

Could you post your site URL here, so I can have a look?

Hey Jeremy, thanks. My site URL is blog.theHoliDaze.com and you can also see an example of how the posts are being incorrectly shared on my FB page.

    Thanks.
Your site seems to be properly connected to WordPress.com at the moment. Publicize is also set up correctly, so your posts should get automatically published to your Facebook Page unless you use a third party plugin that conflicts with Jetpack.

the featured image is no longer imported into Facebook. Instead of the usual post now all I get is the URL — not even the title properly displays. This happens with every post.

When you share a post on Facebook, or when Jetpack Publicize publishes a post to your Facebook page, Facebook crawls the page and looks for Open Graph meta tags in the head to build a complete post preview (with an image, title, description, …).

Jetpack automatically adds these meta tags to your posts, unless you already use another plugin to do so. Looking at your site, you seem to be using the Facebook plugin to handle Open Graph meta tags. Jetpack consequently has no control over the look of your posts on Facebook.

If you experience issues with the look of your posts, you’ll want to contact the Facebook developers about it here:

    I hope this helps.
