    WP: 3.5.2
    Theme: Responsive
    Plugin: NGFB Open Graph+
    Webpage in question: https://abettermovingcompanywa.com/wp/

    Hello,

I just wanted to add Facebook Like/Send buttons to my site’s homepage, and I was trying out NextGEN Facebook Open Graph+ (6.2.2 free version) plugin.

I simply added the NGBF Social Sharing widget onto one of my widget boxes, and the Like/Send button shows up fine on my webpage and seem to function. However, the content of the flyout shows WordPress sample text “This is a sample page… “

Responsive theme has a customizable homepage interface that overrides the wp setting. I removed the default wp Sample Page that had the sample text, added a Home page and edited it with appropriate short content (which is overwritten by Responsive theme customizer). But the flyout continue to show the sample text.

Where can I look to remove/change this text?
    Thank you!

I just got back from a few days camping in the woods — sorry about the delay in replying to you.

Looking at your webpage source, it looks like everything is fine now. I suspect you just had to wait until the object cache expired (about 1-3 mins) before your updated content was shown.

    <meta property="og:title" content="A Better Moving Company &ndash; Based in West Seattle, WA, A..." />
<meta property="og:description" content="1-800-996-6961. Better People, Better Methods, Better Moves. Welcome to our website! A Better Moving Company is a full service mover proudly serving the greater Seattle area." />

    Thanks,

    Js –
Thank you very much for your response. I hope you had a great camping trip!

Were you able to read the description inside the flyouts? On my end they are still showing the sample text. I’ve tried the page on couple other devices with the same sample text. I am clicking the “clear all cache” button on plugin options periodically, but it doesn’t change the situation. I looked at the page source as well but couldn’t find this sample text, and I’m trying to understand where this sample text is getting pulled from.

    Any additional ideas?
    Thank you!

    Ah, ok, gotcha.

I html code I posted is from your head section — just do a View Source to see all the NGFB meta tags.

Once Facebook caches the data, the old data will show up, even after you’ve modified the webpage (see the FAQ for more info).

If the page hasn’t been shared yet, you can refresh Facebook’s cache using their debugger tool:

    https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object?q=http%3A%2F%2Fabettermovingcompanywa.com%2Fwp%2F

It seems you have to fix the Facebook Admin value first though. According to their debugger, “ABetterMovingCompany” is not a valid Facebook user ID. ??

Great! I clicked on the facebook debugger tool link you gave above, and it seems to have fixed it. Thank you very much!

Yes, I still need to get the facebook account info from the owner of business.

Thank you again for your help, have a good one!
