Facebook sharing and automatic drop cap problem

  • Hello
    my problem is the following: when I put shortcode to posts the plugin is working fine, but when I check “automatic drop cap” there is no effect and plugin doesn’t work.
    Theme I using is: Oblique

    Next thing is: when I using shortcode and trying to share the post to facebook, it appears without first word.

    Can you give me a solution? Thx

    Hello,

    What is your website URL?

    Basically the automatic feature modifies content taken from database and add shortcode to the first character found. If the first character is not a letter, then I am afraid it won’t work with your setup.

    For the sharing issue, what plugin do you use? If the plugin strip the shortcode and its content, then a custom feature need to be developed to make it work.

    The first character is a letter. Automatic drop cap just doesn’t work.

    I put the shortcode to the first word in paragraph, and this word isn’t showing in FB.

    When Can I count for the update?

    On which page does the problem happen, the shortcode and automatic issues? I can’t find any simple drop cap class in the HTML source code.

    Thanks, I may fix the Facebook problem but I don’t know when. I am quite busy with my other projects.

    For the automatic drop cap problem, I can’t replicate the problem and other websites that use it have no problem so I think it’s just related to your website.

    I visited your website and it seems the Facebook sharing problem has been resolved. Do you use opengraph description to define the Facebook description?
