Looks like face book Deprecated custom image parameter. Can you please clarify?
As of April 18, 2017, the following parameters are no longer supported by Graph API versions 2.9 and higher. For versions 2.8 and lower, the parameters will continue working until July 17, 2017.

Even if you add app id, I do not think it will work. sharer.php is just ignoring custom image, and it pulls the og image from the page. I think it is from July 17.
I am thinking to modify your codes by adding image number as an added category in the url with that image as og image.
