Facebook share does not share but likes instead

    I’m running the latest versions of WordPress and Jetpack.
    In the Share module I have activated Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Linkedin and Email.
    The Facebook button does not share the particular post as I expected. It just likes it. All of the other buttons do share when clicked.
    Have I done some misconfiguration? Or is the Facebook share supposed to act different?

    I just noticed the error occur when the button style is set to be Official buttons only.
    When button style is set to all other possibilities it works as it should.

    That’s indeed the expected behaviour for now. To use a sharing button, you’d need to switch to another button style.

    We’ll consider updating the official button to use the share button instead in a future Jetpack update.

    thanks for fast reply.
    Ok that explains why then. I am happy you will consider changing this in a future update.
    Switching between different styles should not affect the behavior of a button or function.
