Hi, I’m running the latest version of Cresta, and I have the share counts deactivated. Recently I tried to share a post to Facebook and got the following error message:

“Can’t Load URL: The domain of this URL isn’t included in the app’s domains. To be able to load this URL, add all domains and sub-domains of your app to the App Domains field of your app settings.” –this happens in both Chrome and Safari

I don’t know if this is related, but a few days ago I triggered Facebook’s Security Alert thing by trying to log in on a new computer while travelling… Perhaps it’s unrelated, but it used to work fine before.

It’s not clear to me where the Cresta plug-in is pulling my social accounts ID from… I don’t see anywhere in the settings where you enter your Facebook account info etc, so I’m not sure where to verify that the information is still there.

    Thank you!

I should also mention I’ve already cleared the browsing data/cookies on my browser, and flushed the cache of my site as well.

Ah! Ok, I figured out what is causing the problem, I think, but have no clue how to fix it.

-I have 2 facebook accounts: one that is just a personal account (‘Account A’); and one that is listed as an Admin for my business’s Facebook ‘Page’ (I’ll refer to this one as Account B).

When I’m logged into Account A, the Cresta post to Facebook button works beautifully. However, when I’m logged into Account B (trying to post to the business’s Facebook Page), I get the error message. Normally when I’m using Account B, Facebook provides a little drop down box, and I get to select if I want to post as the personal account that is the Admin, or as the business/Page. My guess is that it is this functionally that is not compatible with the Cresta share button.

Is there any way to get this working? I’d really like the post to show up on the Facebook Page as being posted by the business/page, not a personal account. I guess it’s not a huge deal, I can go into Facebook and post from there.. So long as the button works for regular visitors to the blog- unless they have a linked Page to their account…

    Thanks!

    Hi @rhinoadventuregear,
from the moment you click on the Facebook button (or other buttons), the management goes to Facebook.
So I think this kind of trouble is from the social network (you can try it with another plugin and see if the error is still there but I don’t think it depends on the plugin).

    Best Regards,
