• HI,
I noticed after disabling maintenance mode, i posted a link form the site to Facebook and the OG:title of the page was changed to “maintenance mode” as well as the OG:description.

I cleared super cache from site, re-scraped the URL via Facebook, but the title is still wrong. however, the description was updated.

Any ideas how to prevent this?

looks like post content is missing

I’m having the same problem. After deactivating MM, I entered my homepage URL into a new facebook post. “Maintenance Mode” appears as the site title, along with the image I supplied when MM was active.

I tried to completely delete MM from my plug ins and the problem persists.

Please help, I was planning to announce my site launch today.

Hi guys, any solution? My site is stuck on the maintenance mode although I’ve remove the plugin. Please help.

lishai, not sure about your site being stuck in MM. have you removed the folder from plugins, via ftp?

    couple things i found…
You can manually change the title and description after pasting the url into a status update. Just click on the title or description after it’s loaded and edit it.

Also try using Yoast SEO plugin and set social meta for each page. then re-scrape necessary urls with Facebook Scraper.

Thanks pixallus. The plugin was uninstalled properly from WP backend but it was a cache issue. I had to clear my browser’s cache and wait 30 minutes for it to be refreshed by the host. Thanks again.
