Every few days, our site homepage URL goes down with a Too Many Redirects error. There is always a long Facebook query string attached to the URL when this happens. Clearing the cache restores the site. The site owner is running Facebook ads with Facebook Pixel enabled on the site. Redirection handles standard redirects, but I’m wondering if @johnny5 might have any insight into the possible cause. I doubt this is due to the Redirection plugin but thought I would ask. I’ve searched the internet high and low and cannot find an exact match for this issue.

Thanks in advance for any insight.
    Michael

One possible cause. Dynamic caching by the SG Optimizer plugin might be storing the query string in the URL, causing the redirect loop.
The idea came from this thread.

I’m not sure omitting dynamic caching is the solution, but thought I should document this for others.

It’s hard to give anything useful without more context. You could test the redirect when it’s erroring and see if that gives any clues:

    https://redirect.li/http/

Problems of a sporadic nature are usually cache based.
