Facebook publicize errors

Had a few issues of my own posting to Facebook. It was displaying full url instead of the post title. Some posts wouldn’t appear on Facebook, posts with no images etc. I was trying to work out what I had done since I migrated my WP site to another host and find out how to fix these problems. Then by chance I spotted that the default post format (in settings/writing) was set to ‘status’. I changed this to ‘standard’ and all seems well publicizing to Facebook. Titles correct, images appear, all looks good. Maybe something to look at if you’re also having problems.

Scheduled post problem also cured by changing the post format.

I’m using the montezuma theme by the way.

Spoke too soon… A scheduled post failed to make it to Facebook this evening.

mine are making it but it started again a few hours ago about same as yesterday with the same crap in screenshot above

Just did another scheduled post to Facebook and it worked perfectly….this is strange!! Could it be anything to do with Facebook, as they’re changing the layout of peoples pages at the moment? Mine changed a few days ago.

@acquariusoft Could you try to publish a new post, and let me know if the title is displayed properly?

I think that I have worked out why my scheduled posts sometimes don’t make it to Facebook. Scheduled a post this morning and worked perfectly. Scheduled some while I was at work (sorry Boss) and they didn’t post. The difference was, that I created the post and hit the schedule button. Then I viewed the post to check that it looked OK. It didn’t and I edited the post. Then I hit the update button. Later on the scheduled post in question didn’t make it to Facebook.

Conclusion is… Don’t edit a scheduled post.

My schedule have been working fine just once every day or so i get one with no thumbnail and displaying the return source link of fb but it is no biggie now i just delete and reshare to site works fine since i post 6 to 12 times a day.

I just need info on the share button errors on new post now no one will respond to found 2 new bugs here

@jeremy Herve i have reset facebook connection but the problem is not solved!

i simply insert title, text, image, category,tags, ecc so publish post with share on fb and twitter enable, sometimes i set the post as schedule.

i don’t change anything to plugin and i have not installed other facebook plugin.

it’s the same of last week where all works. i don’t know why it not works very whell.

My post are not posting thumbs this morning Jeremy is there work being done on the other matters that may be causing this? They worked fine up until last night after i sent in the issue on Twitter. I am getting the no thumb and fbpv link when it goes to FB.

Already had to delete 3 and repost manually.
