  • I’m having the same problem and it’s only happened recently. Haven’t figured out a solution yet.

ok ya IM getting this issue as well. but the facebook debuggin tool when you scrap for new info it fixes the issue per page… very odd. I dont get this error at all when i dont plug in the extra social fields on the product/post page

I have had this issue for awhile now and have been doing as much research as I can to figure out what the cause is. I was hoping the WordPress SEO update would fix it, but no luck.

One interesting thing I noticed is this blog post on one web host has the same error we are talking about:
    https://equalmotion.com/landscapes/new-york-cityscapes/

Error: “Object at URL ‘https://equalmotion.com/landscapes/new-york-cityscapes/’ of type ‘website’ is invalid because a required property ‘og:title’ of type ‘string’ was not provided.”

I took the same site and put it on another host and everything worked fine:
    https://bodyboardculture.com/equalmotion/?p=2312

I checked with the host and they are not doing anything that would be preventing the issue and actually directed me to this post and here I am.

These Facebook previews are huge for me since my site is photography based.

If anyone has any ideas I am more than open to do more testing and try different options.

And for the record I did move the EqualMotion site to another folder on the server with issues and it still had the error, so the issue is not with the domain name.

Just an idea but could it have something to do with the trailing slash?

    Hi all,
    same issue here: og:type missing.

but fatching info from the FB debugger works for me.
however, it means I have to do it for all the articles I want to share on FB.
This is a workaround I can use for a while, but I’m still looking for a stable fix.

The tailing slash has no effect on it.
