I was asking about ‘where’ you add a slider for Facebook posts feed.
I was only looking around the settings interface under ‘sliders’.
I didn’t notice the ‘settings’ button right next to it, which has the options for setting this up.

I was too hasty to post for support, sorry.

I should be ok setting this up now.

Hi @alb-inso!

The facebook slider is a little bit more complicated, so I would suggest to check out it’s documentation:
https://doc.smartslider3.com/article/90-facebook-generator
because you will need a facebook api too, and then follow the steps, as you will see, that you will be able to add your facebook feed as slides, so not the slider will make it connect to facebook, but the slides.

Hi Gabor,
Thanks for that link, very useful.
I feel I am very close to getting this working, I’ve got up to the Step #17 of that article.

I am actually using a Page feed, rather than an Album.

So I had accessed the Edit Generator of my slider, and under Filter for ‘Page’, I had entered the full Facebook page URL.
That gave an error when saving:

ERROR
(#100) Tried accessing nonexisting field (from) on node type (Page)

I then tried just the unique part of the URL, omitting the facebook.com part of the URL.
That gave another error when saving:

ERROR
(#803) Some of the aliases you requested do not exist: [shows my value here]

My slider shows on page, but it is empty of course, just shows the arrows and the slide indicator green square.

I’m not sure what exactly I am meant to be entering into the Filter for ‘Page’.

Could you please advice? The article linked shows screenshots for adding an album only.
Thanks again

In there you should only enter the name of the page, for example this is our facebook page:
https://facebook.com/nextendweb
and what you would need is:
nextendweb

Please tell me what facebook page are you trying! Also please rather write to us to [email protected]
