  • The update did not really affect anything in this regards, it’s probably just an issue with Facebook itself, maybe the cache was cleared after the update which caused facebook to then ignore those images or it might be that you upgraded the slider plugin as well etc.

The page you linked gives me 404 so I can’t test, but this is probably just facebook ignoring the parameters we pass in to their URL.

Yea, sorry bout the 404. The client was unhappy and didnt want to send people there and deleted the weekly ad page. I will be working on it today. Is there a way for me to get the previous version of social media feather? There werent any conflicts before I upgraded so for now I would like to put the previous version back. Thanks!

Scratch that. The page is not down. I just didnt put the forward bracket on the end of the URL. The site is
    petersmarket.biz/weeklyad/
Lemme know if you can figure out what issue is. thanks

I added a pic that is outside the slider on the page but it doesnt give option for anything else. It also isnt grabbing text from the page content. It is grabbing text from the first column of the page footer.

    Thanks in advance.

I’ve tagged the 1.6.3 release which you can download here. As I mentioned, I doubt that this will fix your problem as I think this is on the facebook side mostly but you can give it a shot.

Thanks, I tried it but the downgrade to previous version didnt change anything like I thought it would. Thanks for the heads up. When I get the time I will see if I can trace what’s wrong. I am unfamiliar with Facebook APIs and all that but maybe I have to make one for the client’s Facebook?

Thanks for the response and you are prob right in that the problem is on the Facebook side.

I will keep an eye out for any updates. I have put the latest version back until then. Thanks.

The best way to try and make facebook do what you want is by using OpenGraph tags. There are some plugins on the WP register that attempt at doing this but if you read their support forums you’ll notice they have similar problems where facebook at times ignores those tags and just picks up information at random. Still, finding a good OpenGraph plugin is probably your best bet.
