Facebook pixel (wrong products)

Hi,

The example product you send me is the link of a parent variable product. Those products will never make it to your feed as parent products are not allowed to be added by Google/Facebook, only its variations. That is also why on the parent pages the product ID’s of the variations are added to the FB pixel (which is what you are seeing) so you can still build an audience on the variations.

I think that you are missing the bigger point.

Yap this is the parent product, it is not in the feed, etc etc…but the facebook pixel shows data from totally DIFFERENT product. (e.g Take a look at the title of the product, titles have a number at the end that could be easier to distinguish, or the price).. check any product from the site, fb pixel data are wrong

For us it works as expected, we have tried to reproduce it but it does seem to work fine.

See, we have this parent variable product:

Are you perhaps using some sort of multi-lingual plugin or a plugin that does “something” to product variations? Also, is the product at hand a normal variable product or something else like a bundle/composite etc?

The problem exists (most probably) in all products. Doesn’t have to be a variation for the problem to appear. If you check this (simple) product

(Check its name, and price in fd pixel data, are totally different)

And to answer your question, we don’t have any multilingual plugin, and all the products in site that have variations are normal variable products.

Hi , an update…

It seems that the data your plugin shows is from the next (or previous) product from the product navigation (on the bottom right corner ) in the product page.

Disabling next/previous product navigation yields a warning “…We detected event code but the pixel has not activated for this event, so no information was sent to Facebook. This could be due to an error in the code ..”

Activating another fb pixel plugin shows the correct product data.

How is that next product in the right lower corner coming there? I assume it is coming from your theme or another plugin?

Alright so it must be some incompatibility between the theme and our plugin since no other users ever reported a similar issue. It seems the theme is a paid plugin so we can’t reproduce the issue ourselves. Would you happen to have the theme available in zip-format for us to download so we can have a look for you?
