Facebook pixel slows website

  • Facebook pixel scripts slow down my website loading. Before installing the Facebook pixel my web loaded in less than half a second. Now with the pixel it loads in 1.7 seconds. I’ve tried to defer, async the load of the facebook scripts but I haven’t been successful. I’ve tried using plugins to install the pixel and minifying and combining but although it worked, then the pixel didn’t work properly. Anybody around here had the same problem? Can anybody help me?

    I’m not familiar with FB pixel but if it takes that long then I can’t imagine that’s the correct implementation. You may want to try searching for a plugin to accomplish the same thing with FB. There may be some step that just pasting that code in is skipping.
