Facebook Page sharing has disappeared

If you find it different from what you had earlier, Facebook might have made changes in it. We cannot do anything about it.

Yes, the ‘on a page that you manage’ option used to appear in a drop-down when clicking onto the top arrow in your diagram.

There IS a workaround however that ALMOST works, in that you need now to be signed into the page that you wanted to manage in order to share on it.

Not very useful if you were signed into your profile though?

That Facebook sharer dialogue and the options inside it are in direct control of Facebook. We cannot do anything about it. So, yes, you should be logged into Facebook as your page to be able to share on it.

There also seems to be problems now with sharing your post to WordPress (.com version) and MIX and Reddit, it’s virtually impossible to share anything to MIX without using a mobile (app) version and Reddit seems to be a law unto itself.

There are workarounds with both WordPress (.com version) and Reddit – but sharing to MIX is just a dead duck now.

To use the WordPress share icon, you need to activate the Press This plugin. Reddit share is working fine. Mix, probably, doesn’t offer any social share API now or may be the URL of the same has been changed. I will fix it in the upcoming updates.

Now even when posting when logged into FB Page the image and text previews are not showing. FB debug error is “The specified ‘fb:app:id’ property is not a valid app ID.” I think that the plugin’s call to FB now requires a FB app ID.

@tiescharity Debug the web page that is giving you problems, share and see if it helps. If it doesn’t, install the Open Graph plugin, debug and share. It should fix the problem.
