Facebook Page Publish – WON'T POST IMAGE

Installation went without a hitch on our recently created job site. I’m wondering now though if your plugin is such that allows for other taxonomies. We’re using AppTheme’s JobRoller framework and as such, ‘Jobs’ are created as a different taxonomy than standard posts.

Is there something I’ve overlooked with your plug-in? The “job” posting page is identical to a regular post page, of course, but I cannot find any indication of your plugin on a post page (in admin area), nor does it seem to post to Facebook with a new or edited job-posting.

The new version 0.3.7 supports custom post types. This should solve your problem (I assume ‘Job’ is a custom post type). If the problem persists, please let me know about. Version 0.3.7 will be published this weekend.

Hello

Thanks for this great plugin. It’s really easy to setup and use it, but for me, it won’t display images correctly on Facebook.

An example post is this: https://www.jobalert.gr/?p=3007
Facebook page is this: https://www.facebook.com/jobalert.gr

When the plugin is Active, the image is fetched correctly using “URL Linter” but when posted on Wall it doesn’t display the post image, but instead it shows an image from another part of the site (this one: https://www.jobalert.gr/wp-content/themes/Visoko/images/socialicons/stumbleupon.png)

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Mine can’t show related thumbnail image on the facebook wall too.

I managed to get it working (using plugin version 0.3.5) by adding the correct “meta properties” on header.php of my theme. Looks like below:

<meta property="og:type" content="article" />
<meta property="og:url" content="<?php the_permalink(); ?>" />
<meta property="fb:app_id" content="0000000000000000"/>

now reads the photo and article correctly.

P.S

Installed plugin version 0.3.8 and noticed that the “meta properties” above doesn’t need to be added manually to my theme. Now it works like a charm without them!

I installed Facebook Page Publish and edited the settings. No matter what I do, the image won’t show. I’ve tried all of the four options…

– Gravatar of the post author
– Random post image
– Default thumbnail
– No thumbnail

No matter what I choose, I cannot get the image within the WordPress post to show on my FB fan page. Any suggestions?
