    I have a Printful > WooCommerce > Facebook Shop setup. It was all working fine but recently I’ve been trying to integrate Google Shopping and work on my SEO, and either I did something or they did something, and now I’m getting an issue. On my Facebook products on top of the variants, I’m getting an extra variant which I believe comes from the main product group which has its size as an amalgamation of all the sizes. So I get the regular variants for example “XS” “S” “M” and “L” but now I have an extra size labeled as “L,M,S,XS”. I can delete it from FB but it shouldn’t happen and didn’t happen before. So I’m wondering what is the problem.

    At first I thought it was a recent plugin but I disabled them and still get the issue. I think I might have added the size attribute but I don’t remember, and I’m afraid to erase it because I don’t want all the sizes in my catalogue gone. If anyone has similar setup, do you have a size attribute under WP-Admin → Products → Attributes? I honestly don’t remember if I added it or it was there before. Related to it, might be the options under Attributes and Variants in the individual product settings but I’ve tried different things and the problem persists.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hello @silentkv

    Thanks for your message!

    I have checked the same product on your site but that extra Attribute L,M,S,XS is not showing: https://shop.kennyvelez.com/product/hooded-guy-t-shirt/?attribute_pa_size=xs

    Would you be able to send us a screenshot of the product attributes so we can better understand how this has been configured?

    If you don’t already have a screenshot service installed, here are a few free options:
    ?
    * https://snipboard.io
    * https://skitch.com/
    * https://getcloudapp.com/
    * https://awesomescreenshot.com/`

    I’d also like to better understand your site. Could you please send me a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it here in your response.

    Once we have that information, we’ll be in a better place to help.

    Sorry, I forgot that I posted here, since I’ve been on support emails with the WooCommerce folks. Anyway, as for the product, I did a lot of testing and I believe I fixed that one after the fact. I can fix them but I want to know why it happens in the first place. From the testing I can say it only seems to happen during the initial sync of Printful>Woocommerce>Facebook Shop. One time a product didn’t auto sync for whatever reason so I had to manually tell it to sync, and it came out fine. Also if I delete the FB data, then redo it manually, it’s fine. Anyway here’s the log

    Hi @silentkv,

    Thanks for the update. Finding out why may be very tricky. Based on what I’ve seen here, if I had to speculate, I suspect there was an issue saving product data at some point. This is what caused the initial problem. Then updating the problematic data with this product allowed it to finally sync.

    If you find anything out, please do share it here.

    Thanks!

    Just to add. The problem still persists. If I add a new product with only 1 color and different sizes I will still get that jumbled size variant. I can always fix it and I do but it’s annoying that it happens in the first place.

    Hello @silentkv ,

    I am trying to understand the problem from the previous step. You are managing your Facebook product sync from “Printful>Woocommerce>Facebook Shop” however, we expect you to manage Facebook sync from the “wp-admin > Marketing > Facebook” page.

    Since “Printful Integration for WooCommerce” is a third-party plugin, I can’t say for sure how this allows the product to sync with Facebook.

    I will recommend deactivating the Printful extension and then creating a test variable product to see if you still get the duplicated variation in your Facebook catalog.

    Also, please share a full-page screenshot of your variation product page so that I can see Facebook meta-information on the right-hand side of the product details page. You can use https://snipboard.io/ to share a screenshot.

    Hi, wouldn’t want to risk messing up my business by disabling Printful. I can say that if I create a product manually from Woocommerce it syncs to Facebook fine. It’s that initial push from Printful to Woocommerce to Facebook that has the issue. I also tried reaching out to Printful and they say it’s not them.

    Here are the screenshots. This is the product on my website, it’s fine here. https://snipboard.io/VGM7pU.jpg

    This is the product on my Facebook shop, you can see the problem. https://snipboard.io/zfta29.jpg Here’s the link to that https://www.facebook.com/commerce/products/6935220603218524/ I will keep it up for a few days before I go in and manually fix it.

    Finally, I believe this is the screenshot you asked for https://snipboard.io/4ISAR1.jpg

    The Mother of Code

    Hey @silentkv – is there an attribute set on the product when it is just synced from Printful to your site that looks the same (the “L,M,S,XS” one)?

    Thread Starter silentkv

    (@silentkv)

    Hi, here are screenshots of where it appears in my Product Data

    Here’s the Facebook plugin one https://snipboard.io/9drAQY.jpg

    Here’s the attributes https://snipboard.io/7RZHX2.jpg

    and here’s the variations.https://snipboard.io/Kq0weZ.jpg

    I know that if I click on “Delete product(s) on Facebook” then update it, it’ll repopulate the data and fix the problem but again, I’d like it not to be there in the first place. I forgot what happens if I reset, I don’t think that worked but I forgot.

    Thank you for providing the screenshots.

    Based on what I can see, I believe there is an issue with how Printful synced the data initially to WooCommerce.

    Since reaching out to them didn’t help, I’d recommend you Delete or Reset all Facebook Products

    I hope this helps!

    That’s what I’ve been doing. I can fix it but I was hoping to identify the problem at its root instead of fixing it afterwards.

    Hi @silentkv.

    > I can fix it but I was hoping to identify the problem at its root instead of fixing it afterwards.

    Yes, that is understandable. Unfortunately, because it appears to be unique to products synced with Printful, there must be something there that is causing issues.

    Would you be able to try conflict testing? So disable every plugin except for Printful, Facebook, and WooCommerce, and switch to a default theme, and then see if the synced products work correctly? If so, reactive your other plugins and theme one by one, testing after each, until the issue resurfaces. It’s possible that the issue isn’t with just Printful, but Printful in combination with something else.

    You could try this on a staging site if doing it on your live site would be too disruptive, although this can get tricky when connecting to outside services like Printful and Facebook. You could use the WP Staging plugin to create the staging site if you don’t have one handy.
