Hi there!
I hope you’re doing well ??
Your site may have a persistent caching plugin active. These plugins may not always clear their cache when they should have. This uncertainty creates confusion, especially with metadata that doesn’t directly and visibly reveal something has changed. So, be sure to clear the plugin caches whenever you see something not working as intended.
Facebook and Twitter also maintain a cache of your shared pages on their servers. If the page has been shared before, you may want to refresh their caches. This can happen automatically for Twitter, but Facebook has shown to be more stubborn.
For Facebook, you’ll have to go to their Sharing Debugger.
There, enter the URL you’ll want to clear, and hit “Debug”. You’ll then see a snapshot of the data they’ve collected. Hit the “Scrape Again” button to refresh and affirm the changes.
For Twitter, go to their Card Validator.
There, enter the URL you want to clear, and hit “Preview Card”. That’s it!
If you’re still facing difficulties, please inform me of the URL of the page with issues, and tell me the URL of the image you’d want to have shared. I’ll gladly take a look.
