Facebook Messenger Error

I’ve installed the plug in and clicked on get started and edit customer chat, completed it and it says code has been applied to your website and the enabled button in active but when i click the messenger button it takes me to FB sign in then says ‘sorry something went wrong, we are working on getting it fixed. Can someone please tell me where I’m going wrong? thanks
