Facebook login widget shows the user email, not the first name.

  • Hi,
    I’m using Facebook Login widget Pro in https://www.pittsburghbuddhistcenter.org/. I created a facebook app and everything is working great except the plugin shows the user’s email address instead of first name. My app has access to the users public profile (first last name, profile picture, etc) and friend list.
    I have Q&A and sign up pages and I do not want to show user’s email addresses to others when they sign up while login through facebook.

    How do I make the plugin show First name (or first and last), not the email when they log in? Thank you.

    Actually the plugin do not store the name of the user in the database. As this is a login plugin only the information required for the plugin to work properly is stored in the database.

    To display the first name / last name of the user the code needs some modifications.
