Facebook Link Preview not behaving as expected

Hi, I’ve been evaluating Buffer and the plugin for a few days now (super well thought out!) and noticed some inconsistent behavior regarding sharing posts to Facebook specifically.

Sending a post to Buffer, does not seem to parse the URL properly or show the link preview — which then passes through to our Facebook page like that. We’re just using super simple {title} {excerpt} {url} format, there’s a trailing slash in the URL, we’ve tried various shorteners, and Facebook has no issue doing the link preview directly or using other similar plugins. Duplicating a Buffer post with the url DOES then parse the link preview properly interestingly.

Please see examples of this in the screenshots below. The sections with working link previews were duplicated and slightly edited to get the previews to show up.
