Hi! Would appreciate your help re: facebook import as it no longer works.
It has been working fine but now all events are rejected and the message is
“Unsupported get request. Object with ID ‘227028751196914’ does not exist, cannot be loaded due to missing permissions, or does not support this operation. Please read the Graph API documentation at https://developers.facebook.com/docs/graph-api”
But it says that about every single request. I’m not sure what to do. I have updated the plugin. thanks!

    Updates on Facebook issue
    —————-
    – We are able to get working Import using Facebook Page ID..
    – Import by Event ID, Group and private event is not working.
    – No need to authorize Facebook in plugin
    – Use old app ID & Key

    It works now ?

I am running into an error on FB import! They ONLY took the first event ID on import, any/all subsequent import requests return the following error:
“Unsupported get request. Object with ID ‘492979067855425’ does not exist, cannot be loaded due to missing permissions, or does not support this operation. Please read the Graph API documentation at https://developers.facebook.com/docs/graph-api”

I’m looking at the author’s response to helpme3 initial report of this and am confused by the response. Are you saying that ONLY the paid version of Facebook event import is working?

    Hi @back2basicsmn,

Please create new topic to new questions, its easier to manage. Please find below reply on your questions.

    – You can import by event ID into free version.
    – Make sure you have setup app properly and authorized it, also need to mark event as Interested to be able to import
    – Paid or Pro version of plugin is working fine, You can schedule auto import on regular interval in pro version.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks

@xylus Thank you for your response, but since this seemed like an ongoing problem that is, in my opinion, still unresolved, it made sense to continue the conversation in an open discussion.

    In response to your response
    1. I was only able to import ONE event from Facebook. ALL other import attempts errored out.
    2. Eventbrite was also having trouble connecting
    3. The app IS set up properly otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to import the one of 3 events from Facebook
    4. I was using the FREE version, but have since deleted it since I spent over an hour getting it set up and authorized with Facebook, then spent another 24hrs trying to import events that would not import (with the exception of the very first event ID I tried out of 3)

I hope your team is willing to look further into the matter as I’m seeing other reports in the review of your plugin users are still reporting challenges with both the free and paid versions regarding the inconsistent success of imports.

    1. I was only able to import ONE event from Facebook. ALL other import attempts errored out.
Please send us what error you are getting, free version has limited capability.

    2. Eventbrite was also having trouble connecting.
In Eventbrite you just need to add Personal Oauth ID and it works. You can send that detail too on our website support.

    3. The app IS set up properly otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to import the one of 3 events from Facebook
You can import each event by event ID.

    4. I was using the FREE version, but have since deleted it since I spent over an hour getting it set up and authorized with Facebook, then spent another 24hrs trying to import events that would not import (with the exception of the very first event ID I tried out of 3)

Yes we are willing to look further into matter. Can you please contact us on website? Before few months facebook updated API & police issues are of that time but now plugin works fine.

    Thanks
