    Hi all,

In short Facebook for WooCommerce is trying to sync up with an old FB page that I created on an old account that has since been banned by Facebook (because it was a duplicate). This means every time I try and sync up to this site for some bizarre reason it’ll try and sync up to that old FB page/account.

This means I’ll get the message ‘You don’t have privileges, please contact a business account admin’, or something similar.

Now I’ve tried alternative plugins, ‘Pixel Caffeine’ and ‘PixelYourSite’ but they’re both causing issues.

I’ve also tried to manually add the Pixel code to my site but that’s also failing.

I’ve also gone through the Business Account Manager settings to make sure I am an admin, which I am (confirmed by Facebook)

I’m speaking to Facebook but their responses are slow. The only solution I see is that they need to delete that Facebook page, something they should have done when they banned my account, but they didn’t, and now all the wires are crossed.

Very bizarre situation, I just wondered if any of you had solutions or ideas? It seems very odd that I now can’t even add the code manually, and it also doesn’t make much sense that WooCommerce is trying to link up to that old page by default?

Alternatively if anyone knows how I can get WooCommerce to forget that page exists in every shape, way and form from the WordPress dashboard, that’d be incredibly helpful too.

Having pixel at the moment is vital for my sales funnel and it’s sort of put a stop to everything advertising wise for the mo.

Many thanks for any help and appreciate your time!
    Avert

  • Hi there @avertshoecare ????

I hope that the Facebook team can reach back to you and help solve the issue. In the meantime you could try these:

    1. Deactivate and uninstall the Facebook for WooCommerce extension from your site
    2. Head to YousiteURL.com/wp-admin/options.php search for all the fields starting with wc_facebook, delete their value and click on Save Changes
    3. Install the extension back to Facebook and see if you can connect it to your current account

Give it a go and keep us posted, we’ll be glad to help

    Cheers!

Nice one Dani! Thank you for the advice, I’ll give that a go now. I kept trying to uninstall and reinstal the plugin but didn’t know what I’d need to delete in the php so amazing! THanks I’ll let you kno wwhat happens

Alrighty, gave it a go, different error screen this time so that’s a good sigh (i think!)

    It now says

‘Something went wrong. This may be because of a technical error that we’re working to get fixed. Try reloading the page.’

Of course reloading the page doesn’t do anything.

Also, by deleting their value I just removed whatever was in the box, am hoping that was the right decision?

    Many thanks,
    Phoenix

    Thanks for the update, Phoenix!

One question I had – in your initial post you mentioned you’d been using some alternative plugins like ‘Pixel Caffeine’ and ‘PixelYourSite’ – are these still installed and active on your site?

I’m exactly like same problem, any solution?

    Hi @allnaturaltea,

Can you start your own topic on the forum so we can assist you directly please? It is possible that similar problems or error messages can have different causes so this will allow us to help you more specifically.

    Thanks!

Hi @kvvsi @theabhig – Yup – Pixel Caffeine and PixelYourSite are still active, do you recommend I delete them both, and try and run the WooCommerce for Facebook plugin again?

    Many thanks

Hey @allnaturaltea, did you find a solution, I managed to sort of work my way around it by downloading an old version of Facebook for Woocommerce, but it’s still buggy as anything

    Hey @avertshoecare,

For the time being we’d suggest deactivating the Pixel Caffeine and PixelYourSite plugins. We’ve seen multiple Facebook pixel plugins causing some strange behaviour.

With the something went wrong message you’re now receiving what stage in the process did you see that display? Do you also see any Facebook connection logs files located at WooCommerce > Status > Log?

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
