I’ve been trying to setup my Facebook for Woocommerce for around a week now but everything time I get a message saying:

Something went wrong when connecting to Facebook!
    Please try again.

I’ve tried reaching out to FB support with no luck.
I’ve tried emailing Skyverge with no response.

    Can anyone help me please?

As far as I know I’ve got the Shop on FB set up correctly, there are currently no products in it at all. I’ve got about 5 products on my website within Woocommerce, so it isn’t like it’s masses of products that could be causing the problem.

I believe that my Business Manager is in place, as well as the pixel etc.

I’ve tried deleting the pixel to recreate it, but it won’t let me do that.

I’m really stuck and don’t know what to try next.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks all.

    Regards.
    Sara

  • Do you see the pixel in business manager? I could fix the issue when I clicked on the created pixel in business manager, then pressed proceed with installation, then clicked on partner and then selected Woocommerce. There you can find a download button to download an older version. With the old version I could install the plugin and after facebook was connected, I could upgrade to newest version. Sorry I can’t describe it better but maybe there are other ways to get an older version. Cheers.

    Hi @muggles

I did it with the 2.0.3 version of the plugin.

Basically I downloaded from the Business Manager and then configured in WordPress without updating it.
After the correct configuration I updated and it’s working

    Hope this help

@tripats – Thanks for the feedback. That didn’t really work, but it did lead to me actually creating a new pixel, uninstalling the plugin on WordPress and then uploading and activating the plugin that Facebook told me to download. Then I eventually managed to connect the two – Hallelujah!

Now I can see that the products have synced (it’s only 5 at this stage, just want to get it sorted before going further), but nothing is showing in the Facebook shop, which fyi, I could only find the tab for by reverting to the old layout for 48-hours!

Anyway, I’m going to give it up for now and will have another look in a day or two. Maybe it just needs time to populate before actually showing in the shop. No idea.

Thanks so much for trying to help though. Really appreciate it ?? .
