I installed the plugin and tried to connect my my Facebook Buisness account/page/store/catalog.
The process goes all the way through without any errors or warnings.
But, when I get back to the Plugin configuration page on my site it says the following message:

“Heads up! It looks like there was a problem with reconnecting your site to Facebook. Please click here to try again, or get in touch with our support team for assistance.”

The information on the connection page shows as follows:
    Page 11147018*******
    Pixel –
    Catalog
    Business Manager account –
    Ad Manager account –
    Instagram Business ID –
    Commerce Merchant Settings ID –

The catalog/products wont sync and overall it doesn’t seem to be working.
Would really appreciate some help on this.

I have tried multiple times to Uninstall/disconnect from FB and set up the plugin again, but no luck.

    Thanks

    Hey there @dablcreative,

Would you mind following the steps on this page to completely reset the plugin, then try reconnecting?

Let us know how it goes. Thanks!

    Thanks for your response!

I tried the step you suggested but it did not fix the issue.
    Still having the same problem.

    What else can I do?

    Hi @dablcreative,

It is possible that the merchant_settings_id area was not completely blanked out. To fix this, append /wp-admin/options.php to the end of your site (make sure there is a backup first, as this is database mining!). In there, look for the merchant_settings_id and blank it out.

After this, save the settings, and disconnect/disable then re-enable Facebook and reconnect. Let us know the results!

    The merchant_settings_id is already blank.

It is labeled as wc_facebook_commerce_merchant_settings_id, correct?

    Hi @dablcreative,

Yes, wc_facebook_commerce_merchant_settings_id should be the table.

If it is blank, disable the plugin under Plugins > All Plugins and then re-enable and start from scratch to see if it works.

    Let us know the results!

    That did not work either.
I got partially working but I had to manually fill in all of the blank sections on the options.php page pertaining to the wc_facebook plugin. Once I filled in the fields for
    Pixel ID
    Catalog ID
    Business Manager account ID
    Ad Manager account ID
    Instagram Business ID
    Commerce Merchant Settings ID

Then the products were able to sync.
This is definitely not how the plugin is supposed to work though.
So, I’m still looking for a proper solution for this issue.

    Thanks

    Hi @dablcreative,

That’s great to hear you got the plugin working again with the product sync and it’s strange you had to repopulate all of those fields with data? ??

Our developers are currently working on the product sync functionality of the plugin and in future versions, hopefully, strange behaviour like what you’ve personally experienced on this occasion will not occur.

    Hey @dablcreative ,

We have not received a reply from your end after our last reply. I will go ahead and mark this thread as solved. ??

Feel free to create a new forum thread for new issues/topics you would like some guidance on!

    @orhanf,

I am experiencing the same problem as described by @dablcreative. The most troubling part of the thread is you decided to close the ticket without a resolution. The resolution is NOT to manually add the data in the table, but to get the PlugIn to work as it is intended.

Was there any update on this topic related directly to the plugin repair. Was the problem reproduced? Is there a scheduled remediation of this matter? I would prefer to avoid editing the db.

    Hi @northernkyian

Feel free to create a new forum thread we’re happy to investigate your case separately

Hi I’m having the same issue as above.

Do I need to go and create a whole new thread or is there a solution for this?

    Hi @kathe2021,

Please give the steps recommended above a try if it did not solve your problem, then go ahead and create your own thread adding information about what you’ve tried already.

    @battouly and @kathe2021

I ended up removing the entire integration to Facebook due to terrible performance. Google’s PageSpeed nailed this integration every time I tested it. So, the choice gets to, should I please the 1st most visited website or the 3rd? For now, this solution is not workable to me.

If someone can tell me this integration is working for them WITHOUT turning mobile speed way down and without having to edit db tables, I am willing to test again.

I DO APPRECIATE this community’s efforts to resolve this matter.

    Thanks for sharing updates @northernkyian.

I recommend creating a new forum thread as suggested by Sol J, we’re happy to investigate your case separately.

    Best!
