Error: Admin Permission Required. You don’t have permission to edit these settings. Reach out to the admin of ”Thomas’ Business Manager to gain access. https://prntscr.com/10mi0oh

Out of curiosity, while waiting the Facebook business account from my Boss, I created a business account (147883390516587) to test this app and successfully integrated the woocommerce site to Facebook. Now, when the official business account was given, I tried to integrate using the official business account which is 175926404121889 and I get the error so raised this concern to Facebook reference ID for this case ID: 906292620131101 which they told me to try to request access to this app.

I already requested access to App ID 474166926521348 https://prntscr.com/10mi3lm but until now no response yet no granted access.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @jam3sadm1n,

Error: Admin Permission Required. You don’t have permission to edit these settings. Reach out to the admin of ”Thomas’ Business Manager to gain access. https://prntscr.com/10mi0oh

Sorry to see you’re hitting walls in the connection process. On the outset, this seems like a permissions problem in connecting to the Business Manager owned by Thomas.

It looks like Facebook might have directed you to attempt to connect to the official WooCommerce app, which isn’t necessary. The connection will be directly to the page you manage.

The owner of the page, Thomas, should navigate to the Facebook Business Settings – Pages area, select the Page in question, go to the People tab, and ensure your name is listed there with the Manage Page toggle enabled.

Let us know how it goes ??

That’s not possible anymore since I already deleted the app right after I received my boss facebook business account. I already reinstalling it so I can grant access to the said app but no longer proceed to the said installation https://prntscr.com/10nkk2o. I’d really love to resolve the issue so we can proceed on setting up the store. Please help me

    Hi @jam3sadm1n

Thanks for sharing all of the screenshots. These are really helpful!

I do testing frequently and ever had a similar problem, where after the step of submitting for review, it throws errors.

Could you please do the following and see if you can try to reconnect again after that.

    • Visit your WP-Admin options page https://<your-site>/wp-admin/options.php
    • Find the following field wc_facebook_external_business_id. It may contain some value, usually like: storename-ouh3ylhlrnm0j
    • Please try to remove anything after the store name, and then try to do the connecting process.

Let me know how it goes!

Hi Sol, I tried your recommendation though I can’t delete the value. Please check this video https://www.loom.com/share/06750bcade4a4a3bbbf96314be323f1b

    Hi there @jam3sadm1n

    Thanks for the video.

    That’s really odd ??

Also, I meant anything after the storename, so you should remove the dash (-) as well.

Is it possible to disable any caching plugins completely just to do that and try to reconnect?

    Thread Starter jam3sadm1n

    (@jam3sadm1n)

    Hi Sol,

Actually I just added the cache plugin as I thought it could help removing the said value after store name. I even deleted entire value including the store name yet right after you saved it, seems nothing happened.

    Hi, @jam3sadm1n!

Thanks for keeping us updated on the issue you’re experiencing. The screencasts are very helpful too, by the way!

One thing we have not yet checked, but that can often cause the “Oops, something went wrong.” error is the default currency set in your WooCommerce store. Can you let us know which currency is being used there?

To note, the currency must be in Facebook’s list of supported currencies. You can also try temporarily switching the currency to USD, CAD, GBP, or EUR to establish the connection, and then switching back once that’s done. Can you see if that will work?

@mariaarias, if you are seeing the same error, according to our forum guidelines, it would be best that you create your own thread since something else may be causing the issue on your site. We would gladly assist you from there!

Hi @cara, store has default USD currency yet I switch to CA as you recommended but nothing happened.

    Hi @jam3sadm1n

I did have a similar error on my test website previously and the steps I provided worked well to resolve it.

Now first, can you please disable other plugins except WooCommerce and Facebook for WooCommerce?

And, then secondly, as you said you deleted the entire value on wc_facebook_external_business_id, could you please try again exactly just per what I mentioned before? No need to delete the whole value.

Say, the value of that field is: thomasimageconsulting-603e53aa7xxxxx

Please just remove -603e53aa7xxxxx and also ensure no space after that and save, and please try to reconnect.

Thanks for your patience here and let me know how it goes.
