Facebook Feed WD stopped working

    the plugin has stopped working. yesterday when I was alerted to it it still displayed 5 posts from a month ago, no recent ones. Today no posts at all. changing posts from 5 to 6 and then clicking save (to see if this refreshes it) causes the error:

    Unsupported get request. Object with ID ‘502413456511728’ does not exist, cannot be loaded due to missing permissions, or does not support this operation. Please read the Graph API documentation at https://developers.facebook.com/docs/graph-api.

    The object (facebook page) does exist – same number, same url, and the supplied Graph API documentation link does not exist.

    on the page where the feed should display it says:
    “There are no objects in this facebook feed.”

    what changed? not sure how to fix this… please help

    Thank you for posting about this problem!

    Did you change the permissions of your 502413456511728 group from Public to Closed or Secret? If you did, please note, that Facebook API does not provide data about those.

    In case you did not, please post the link to the group page, we will have a look.

    hmm dont think so https://www.facebook.com/pg/DA-Terminator-Pest-Control-502413456511728/ its a clients page – he told me he updated your plugin – so maybe this caused it? Maybe the update isnt compatible with wordpress 4.75 or… something else?

    Hey, @shane_idc!

    Firstly, please note, that this is a page, so you will need to select Page content type and provide the full URL of the page.

    Also, if you check this screenshot, you’ll notice the page isn’t accessible from outside of Facebook. This means, that there are age, country or other restrictions on the page.

    Please edit its settings and make sure there are no restrictions. Unfortunately, Facebook Feed WD cannot get data from pages with restrictions, since Facebook API considers these pages as private.

    hey @wdsupport

    so tried updating plugins, and wordpress jic, he checked the permissions on the page, they seemed in order, then logged out of my facebook and tried to view the page and couldnt see any content, then read up on facebook pages not showing if not logged in and found ‘page is visible to everyone’ posts and told my client to try page is visible to everyone for -Country Restrictions and -Age Restrictions – didnt seem to affect the plugin displaying on his website (he changed 18 and over to 13 and over) – but then short time later, it did? So not sure exactly what fixed it- maybe that did but there was a server update time delay?

    The cause of the problem was the age restriction, then. It did not show first since there might have been cache kept on your site.
