    Hello,

I implemented the free version of “Feed them Social” on our club website with 5 separate feeds from public Facebook group sites under the main menu “Social”. However, the feeds are not updating. Please help.

    Thanks for contacting us.

Are you using a caching plugin of some sort? I don’t see one in the list above, that’s why I’m asking… you may need to make an exception for our plugin if so.

Please note: Pinned Posts will not appear above all other posts in your feed. Right now our feed does not have that capability.

    The report also says….
    =======================
Custom Token or Keys added to Options Pages
    — You must have a custom token to use the feeds

    Facebook App Token: No

    ========================

Add that on the Facebook Options page in our plugin on your website, and make sure to empty the cache in our plugin afterwords.

    Spencer,
No, I do not use a caching plugin.
I did get a custom token and added it on the options page as suggested
I did empty the cache in your plugin afterwards.

Despite the above, the feeds are still not updating.

Appreciate any suggestions and help to resolve this.

I see posts as early as yesterday on most of your feeds. Although strangely one of the feeds seems to be showing the most recent posts in reverse.

The reason that you see current posts is that I cleared the cache manually.
I also now turned on the “Cache will clear on every page load”. Will this solve the issue, but slow the website down?

No idea why one feed shows in reverse.

Strange, not really sure what’s up. Maybe your server is caching the site or something, but using the developer mode should be ok, as long as you are not getting Tons of traffic everyday.

It is working ok now with the Developer mode. I will keep it this way unless you come up with a proper solution in the future. I consider this issue then closed for now.

    Thanks for your help.

You got it, we’ll keep you posted if you find anything out.

    Thanks for using our plugin!

I also have the same problem, feeds have not updated since Nov 18th. Turned on Dev Mode and it updated immediately.

I just recently started using a caching plugin, ZenCache on a test/demo site, but over the last few days since activating it I’ve deactivated ZenCache multiple times and many times used “Wipe” to clear cache on all subsites.

Cloudflare is in “Pause” mode, so I would think it’s not having any effect.

So, maybe it’s an issue beyond caching plugins or a conflict with caching plugins not allowing the release of the cache.

    Anyway…

I do believe it has to do with a conflict of caching, Most other plugins cache everything on the page, or even you server could have a caching option enabled that is holding info. I would suggest checking the developer mode too on our settings page and leave that on and see if that resolves the problem since you are already using a caching system.

    Spencer

Yes, as I mentioned in my post Dev Mode does allow updating.

I would assume, but correct me if I’m wrong, this issue would also be seen in the pro/paid version?

    Plugin Author slickremix

    (@slickremix)

Yes, you are correct in assuming the same issue applies with the premium version active.

    Spencer

My Facebook feed is not updating new posts either.
I also use Wordfence, though I don’t have Caching enabled in it.
I’ll try turning the Developer mode on.

    Plugin Author slickremix

    (@slickremix)

    SlavaDesign,
Do you have any other caching plugins on?

    Justin

I think tuning on Developer mode worked. No other caching plugins. thanks Justin
